Theories
Senate panel OKs creationism teaching bill | 2012-01-26 | Indianapolis Business Journal | IBJ.com
The bill allows schools to authorize “the teaching of various theories concerning the origin of life” and specifically mentions “creation science” as one such theory. Creationism is the belief that the Earth and its creatures were created by a deity.
This is really really sad. It’s 2012, and we are still dealing with this (and this and this, etc. etc.). If Dover is any indication, this (and others) will get overturned. Even if not, there are many, many creation myths, so to teach them all would put a tremendous burden on the education system and take years to completely cover.

Ugh, all this crap with origin of life… I’d be fine with it if they decided not to teach ANY of it in schools, even the science based ones. Make them elective classes in high school, or pull it out entirely and leave it for them to learn in college or whatever. Might be a little extreme but if it solves the problems of OoL in public school.
