I’ve said before how dangerous Rick Santorum is, here is just another example…

And Lucifer is wily, Santorum said in this speech: "He attacks all of us, and he attacks all of our institutions." The devil, Santorum asserted, has step-by-step claimed the soul of the most important institutions of American society. He began his attack on the United States, naturally, by seizing control of academia:

He understood pride of smart people. He attacked them at their weakest, that they were, in fact, smarter than everybody else and could come up with something new and different. Pursue new truths, deny the existence of truth, play with it because they’re smart. And so academia, a long time ago, fell.

The college-educated elites, he noted, were "the first to fall" to Satan. Harvard is apparently under the control of the Fallen Angel.

The article goes into more detail about the “Satan” theory, but he’s continuing to attack academia. You might remember when he said that higher education leads to “indoctrination.”

While speaking at the First Baptist Church in Naples, Florida on Wednesday, Santorum claimed that the Left uses universities to "indoctrinate" young people for the end purpose of maintaining power. "It’s no wonder President Obama wants every kid to go to college," he said.

He also argued that colleges and universities would receive no funding if they taught Judeo-Christian principles, but by teaching radical secular ideology, these schools are given government backing. He then asserted that 62 percent of young people who enter college with a set of religious beliefs leave without one. The presidential candidate concluded his speech by urging his audience not to give their money to universities that are undermining that country by spreading left-wing ideology.

Educated people do tend to reject the idea of a higher being since the facts support this. Facts do not support any higher power (well, an intelligent one anyway…just look at the appendix). This is his worry, and nothing else. Education prevents him and his ilk from pushing and promoting their anachronistic world view on people, since they know better…a lot better.

.

I really like seeing things like this. We are seeing so much resistance to the war on women…

Democratic women seek a state ban on vasectomies for men…

The bill sponsored by Doug McKillip, R-Athens, asserts that 20 weeks is the point at which a fetus can begin to feel pain. The measure also attempts to tighten “life of the mother” exceptions to abortion:

No such condition shall be deemed to exist if it is based on a diagnosis or claim of a mental or emotional condition of the pregnant woman or that the pregnant woman will purposefully engage in conduct which she intends to result in her death or in substantial and irreversible physical impairment of a major bodily function.

In response, House Democrats have scheduled a 3 p.m. Wednesday hearing at the state Capitol, to propose a bill that would ban Georgia males from seeking vasectomies. From the press release:

“Thousands of children are deprived of birth in this state every year because of the lack of state regulation over vasectomies,” said Rep. Yasmin Neal, author of the bill. “It is patently unfair that men can avoid unwanted fatherhood by presuming that their judgment over such matters is more valid than the judgment of the General Assembly, while women’s ability to decide is constantly up for debate throughout the United States.”

House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams added, “The Republican attack on women’s reproductive rights is unconscionable. What is more deplorable is the hypocrisy of HB 954’s author. If we follow his logic, we believe it is the obligation of this General Assembly to assert an equally invasive state interest in the reproductive habits of men and substitute the will of the government over the will of adult men.”

Now granted, this will surely not pass, it does a very important service in pointing out GOP hypocrisy.

Today in we are still having this conversation: Rev. Franklin Graham, the son of influential preacher Billy Graham, said Tuesday he believes President Obama is a Christian, but he could actually be a Muslim, too.

“(Obama’s) said he’s a Christian, so I just have to assume, you know, that he is,” Graham said on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, adding that he doesn’t know whether Obama has accepted Jesus Christ as his lord and savior. Then Graham repeated his claim that Obama’s father was a Muslim and therefore the “Muslim world sees (Obama) as a son of Islam.”

Graham said he doesn’t believe Obama is personally a Muslim, because, you know, the president has said that he is not. But he wouldn’t go so far as to say “categorically” that Obama doesn’t practice Islam.
